Ok, I don’t know about you, but my sleep schedule went to total shit in the first few weeks of lockdown.
I was a ball of worry. Worry about the virus, worry about money, worry about work, worry about uni. Worry, worry, worry. The first thing that always slips as soon as I notice I am getting more anxious is my sleep. I get anxious, then I get anxious about not sleeping, then I get anxious about being tired because I’m not sleeping, then I don’t sleep because I’m anxious about being tired because I haven’t slept.
I contacted Nature & Bloom to see if they would be interested in collaborating on a blog post and they kindly sent me a bottle of their CBD Night Drops – the timing could not have been more perfect!
So, what is CBD? CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound from the Cannabis sativa plant and unlike its cousin, THC, the major active ingredient in marijuana, CBD is not psychoactive. It will not get you high. CBD can be used for all sorts of things, from skincare to pain relief and a quick Google will bring up thousands of benefits. It’s naturally occurring, used in products like oils and edibles to impart a feeling of relaxation and calm. Just what you need for sleepless nights.
It’s simple to take, just 2-4 drops under your tongue a day. I took mine at night about 30 minutes before I wanted to drift off and I won’t lie, it’s an acquired taste. This one tasted quite floral, which I liked, but remember it is oil from a plant, it’s quite… earthy. But I do think it helped me sleep better and I definitely felt more rested once I started taking it! I also found my dreams were a bit less crazy once I incorporated it into my bedtime routine.
These drops were £64.99 but you can check out Nature & Blooms website and other products here: https://www.natureandbloom.com/
