Taking Time for Yourself with Tea People

One thing I definitely learnt during lock down is; it’s OK not to be busy 100% of the day. September 2019 to March 2020 I juggled being a full time student and a full time yoga teacher, whilst dabbling in blogging, public speaking and program development. Not to mention attempting to add a social life onto all that.

It’s exhausting.

But, I do love being busy! That being said, one of things I have adored about quarantine, is the guilt free opportunities for self care that it offered us. And, I love tea as self care.

I turn to tea to solve lots of my problems. Happy? Tea. Sad? Tea. Tired? Tea. Insomnia? Tea. Upset stomach? Tea. Acne breakout? Tea. There is just something so soothing about sitting down and enjoying a cup of tea. Tea solves most things and I was super excited to try the selection of tea that Tea People sent me.

Tea People is an ethical company, founded by Neeraj and Vishaka, husband and wife who are from the beautiful tea growing region of Darjeeling in India, donating 50% of their profits to educational development within the impoverished areas in and around the tea growing regions of the world and you can find more about the brand here. I was kindly gifted 4 packets of loose leaf tea, Jasmine Green Tea, Earl Grey Tea, Sleep Tea and Blue Apple and Lime Tea.

All the teas are delicious and I love loose leaf tea. You can see from the images alone how pretty they are all and they all smelt incredible before I had even brewed them.

Each packet comes with its own brewing instructions and the website has so many varieties to choose from, there is really something for everyone, not to mention a great selection of tea accessories.

Besides the Sleep Tea, which I left for bedtime, it was really great to take breaks from working from home, plus other pandemic chaos to sit with a delicious cup of tea and watch the world go by for 10 minutes without worrying I should be filling my day.

Thank you so much Tea People!
